In exactly 20 days Best I've Read 2011 is going to kick off. The event will run from December 11th through the 17th.
This year it's going to work a bit differently. Here's how:
Each of the 11 blogs participating in BIR2011 nominated their favorite books of the year. Out of those nominations, there were EIGHT books that were nominated the most. Those 8 will be spotlighted here on the Best I've Read blog during the week of the event. They are our VERY best of the year.
Then, each of the 11 blogs participating chose then own personal favorites of the year. Most of the blogs will be spotlighting 7 books as their best of 2011, some a few more. These books will be featured on their individual blogs during the week of the event. The selected books range from huge best sellers to smaller press books, but all of them deserve their title as a best read of 2011.
Okay, okay so you're probably wondering what we have in store for you this year and who our best books of 2011 are going to be. Well, how about we give you a little teaser list of some of the books and authors?
Eternal Starling by Angela Corbett
Hourglass by Myra McEntire

And we'll stop there for now. But be on the lookout for more over the coming days. Oh and did I mention there are going to be some really amazing giveaways too? Yep. You're definitely not going to miss Best I've Read this year.
